Privacy Policy
Plumee ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Plumee mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us and information collected automatically:
- Account & profile data: name, email address, date of birth, relationship situation, goals, confidence self-assessment, physical profile (height, weight, gender, hair details), and lifestyle habits you enter during onboarding or within the app.
- Goal & reflection content: the goals, motivations, and actions you create, and the personal reflections (journal-style notes) you write when completing actions and goals.
- Photos: profile and goal photos you choose to upload (e.g. a profile avatar or a photo attached to a completed goal).
- Usage data: screens visited, features used, goals and actions created, lessons completed, XP earned, streaks, and timestamps.
- Device data: device type, operating system version, app version, and crash reports.
- Notification preferences: whether you have granted notification permissions and your daily reminder settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and provide the Service.
- To personalise your training plan, goals, and coaching recommendations.
- To send push notifications and daily reminders (only with your permission).
- To monitor and improve app performance, diagnose crashes, and fix bugs.
- To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:
- Clerk (clerk.com/privacy) — authentication and identity management. Clerk processes your email address and manages sign-in sessions on our behalf.
- Google and Apple (Sign in with) — if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, that provider authenticates you and shares your name and email address (or, for Apple's Hide My Email, a private relay address) with us via Clerk. Their handling of your data is governed by Google's and Apple's privacy policies.
- PostHog (posthog.com/privacy) — product analytics. We use PostHog to understand how users interact with the app. Data is processed in the US. You may opt out by contacting us at the address below.
- Sentry (sentry.io/privacy) — crash reporting and error monitoring.
- OpenRouter (openrouter.ai/privacy) — AI coaching. To generate personalized action suggestions, the text of your goal, your motivation, and your described starting point is sent to OpenRouter and the underlying AI model provider it routes to. We do not send your name, email, or date of birth to these AI services.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against accidental loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older, and we require a date of birth during onboarding to enforce this minimum age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that a user under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Opt out of analytics tracking.
- Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@plumee.app. We will respond within 30 days.
8. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than the one in which you reside, including the United States. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. We take steps to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
